Why Innovative

There are three ways to do this. Two of them leave you running it.

Hire someone, assemble specialists, or bring in a team that already works together. All three are legitimate. They cost very different things, and only one of them takes the decisions off your desk.

The three options

What each one actually costs you.

Not just in money. In the time you spend deciding, briefing and checking — which is the cost founders consistently underestimate.

  • Hire someone

One person, on payroll, owning marketing.

    Cost
    $95,000–$110,000 loaded
    Time to working
6 weeks to fill, 3 months to ramp
    • One skill set covering a job description that names four
    • Still needs a designer, a developer and a writer alongside them
    • Needs someone senior to set direction — usually you
    • Fixed capacity, whatever the quarter demands
    • If it does not work out, the search reopens
  • Freelancers and agencies

Specialists, engaged separately, each doing their part.

    Cost
Varies, and rarely adds up to less
    Time to working
Fast to start, slow to align
    • Each one competent inside their own lane
    • None of them decides what the priority is
    • You write the briefs, chase the timelines and check the work
    • The website, the deck and the ads stop looking like one company
    • Knowledge leaves when the engagement does
  • Innovative

One team that decides what matters next, then builds it.

    Cost
    Less than one senior hire
    Time to working
    Working inside two weeks
    • Strategy, brand, web, campaigns and follow-up in one team
    • We decide what happens next — you do not write the brief
    • One roadmap, two priorities at a time, in the open
    • Capacity moves to whatever the quarter actually needs
    • Every account, file and login in your name from day one
What makes it work

Four things that are hard to buy separately.

Any of these can be hired individually. The value is in them sitting together, which is the part that falls apart when the work is split across suppliers.

  1. 01

You do not write the brief

Freelancers and production agencies wait to be told what to make. Working out what the business needs next is the job before that, and it is the one we take. If you already know exactly what you want built, you probably do not need us.

  2. 02

The thinking and the making are the same team

The people who decide the positioning are the people who write the website that expresses it. Nothing is handed to someone who was not in the room when it was worked out, so nothing is lost in translation.

  3. 03

    It compounds

We keep a working picture of the business — offers, customers, competitors, voice, what has been tried and what it produced. Every new piece of work starts from that instead of from nothing, which is why the fourth month is better than the first.

  4. 04

    You own all of it

Accounts, domains, data, source files, documentation — created in your name and kept there. Leaving should cost you nothing but our absence, and we would rather earn the next month than trap you in it.

Questions

The fair objections

Including the ones where another option is the better answer.

Something not covered? Just ask us.

It is cheaper than a hire because you are buying a share of a team rather than a whole salary, and because we use AI heavily in production. You are not getting four full-time specialists. You are getting the capability of several, pointed at two priorities at a time instead of everything at once.

Yes, and it often goes better that way. Plenty of the work sits next to a junior marketer who is capable and overloaded, or an agency running one channel well. We set direction and cover what nobody else is covering.

Most companies should, and several of these conversations end with us saying so. Ninety days of real work tells you which role you actually need and what that person should own — which is a better basis for a hire than a job description written before anyone knew.

We use it heavily, and so should you. It is our production tool, not the product. Every competitor you have now owns the same tools, which is exactly why so much marketing has started to look identical. What you are paying for is the decision about what to do, the idea worth running, and someone holding the result.

Not sure whether to hire someone or bring in a team?

Thirty minutes, no deck. Tell us what you are trying to grow and who you have doing it now, and we will tell you honestly whether this is the right shape for you.

We reply within one business day.
